[il-talk] Going Back to School

Hi All,

I expect most of you are getting ready for convention.  I won't be able to make it this year.  I did wonder if anyone has any experience with going back to school for a career change?  I talked with someone in the Computer Science Department at UIC about possibly going back to update my skill set.  They would require me to do another Bachelor's, in Computer Science.  This seemed a bit excessive, especially considering that my sister is preparing me for the retirement home already.

Frankly, I have found myself in this situation before.  I just have too many bad experiences to believe I can ever make long-term plans.  Does anyone have advice on getting around the perpetual "What if" scenario?
