Duties
As a Management and Program Analyst, GS-0343-12, you will be responsible for performing the following duties:


  *   Providing support for certain programs requiring the equitable participation of nonpublic elementary and secondary school students and teachers under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA); the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA); the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), and other relevant statutes and programs.

  *   Planning, implementing, and managing projects and activities related to the equitable participation of elementary and secondary nonpublic school students and teachers in U.S. Department of Education programs under the ESEA, CARES Act, IDEA, and other U.S. Department of Education laws and/or programs that include such educational provisions.

  *   Analyzing and interpreting federal education laws and regulations and collaborates within the department to develop non-regulatory guidance and resources related to elementary and secondary nonpublic school students' and teachers' participation in federal education programs, as well as other programs, policies and initiatives that affect nonpublic education.

  *   Developing and providing technical assistance about programs that require the equitable participation of elementary and secondary nonpublic school students and teachers, including making presentations and writing responses to correspondence from stakeholders, such as State and local education agencies, nonpublic school officials, parents, and others.

  *   Conducting detailed analyses of complex functions and work processes of broad administrative or technical programs and makes recommendations for improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of work operations.

Conditions of Employment

  *   Must be a U.S. Citizen
  *   Males 18 and over must be registered with the Selective Service
  *   Must complete a background investigation and fingerprint check

Specialized Experience
Experience performing two (2) out of the three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:


  1.  Supported the implementation of services or activities related to the participation of elementary and secondary nonpublic school students and teachers in programs administered by the U.S. Department of Education.
  2.  Developed guidance, policy, or resources regarding U.S. Department of Education or other federal education programs.
  3.  Facilitated or assisted with the implementation of programs administered by the federal government that provide relief and assistance to schools as part of the response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Note: The applicant's resume must show evidence of specialized experience.
