>SALARY RANGE: $38,000 - $42,000
>Position Summary:
>This position works under the supervision of the 
>Associate Dean of Students and provides support 
>services to students with disabilities.
>General Responsibilities:
>1. Coordinate and schedule interpreters for 
>deaf/hard of hearing students for all campuses;
>2. Serve as the primary contact for students with disabilities;
>3. Collect, review and maintain confidentiality 
>of student disability documentation and all 
>FERPA bound student records and communications;
>4. Interview and register students with the 
>disability services office and determine appropriate accommodations.
>5. Assist students with disabilities in the 
>admissions process, financial aid, career 
>planning, and the selection of coursework.
>6. Serve as a liaison between students and 
>faculty in the provision of accommodations.
>7. Provide entrance and classroom testing 
>accommodations for students with disabilities as needed.
>8. Assist with training for faculty and staff on 
>topics related to effectively serving students with disabilities.
>9. Coordinate services for low-vision/blind 
>students including assistive technology needs and textbook formatting.
>10. Collaborate with state and community 
>agencies to provide services to disability students.

>12. Provide general academic advising services

>Minimum Qualifications:
>• Master’s Degree in rehabilitation 
>counseling, counselingg, social work, 
>psychology, education, or a related area from accredited institution;
>• Ability to communicate effectivvely, both orally and in writing
>• Sensitiviity to and an understanding of the 
>diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and 
>ethnic backgrounds of the two-year college student;
>• Customer and solutions oriented with a strong 
>commitment too customer service, while 
>maintaining compliance with policies and ADA guidelines.
>• Commitment to the mission of a commprehensive 
>two-year college and an understanding of the 
>different components of a student services operation.
>
>Preferred Qualifications
>• Experience servving students in a two-year college environment;
>• Two (2) years of experience working in a 
>higher education setting as a counselor or with disability services; and;
>• Knowledgeable of assessment measures 
>(academic, vocational, psycho-social) and accommodation protocol;
>• Demonsstrated ability to address equity gaps 
>within courses and classrooms, as related to 
>serving students with disabilities;
>• Knowledge of community social agencies, 
>services and resources for the disabled.
