The Strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for fulfilling a wide-range of classification-related duties for the Department of Health (MDH). Working collaboratively as part of the Strategic Talent Acquisition Team within the Office of Human Resources, this position will conduct job and organizational analysis, write formal classification determinations, participate in strategic planning with hiring managers, advise hiring managers and staff on topics related to classification, and provide lead work direction to a bureau team of professional and technical staff. The person in this role will ideally be an expert in conducting research and gathering information from a variety of sources, analyzing and synthesizing complex details, have the communication skills to clearly articulate job audit results, and proactively seek opportunities to stay informed of division and program workforce needs. This person should thrive in a deadline driven, fast-paced, high-energy environment. This position requires a relationship-driven approach by actively partnering with hiring managers, human resources team members, and other stakeholders to recruit and retain a workforce dedicated to MDH's mission - protecting, maintaining and improving the health of all Minnesotans.
