Subject: State Services for the Blind

Greetings,
State Services for the Blind has a half-time position that opened today. The position is: Aging Eyes Program Coordinator. The position coordinates our community partnership initiative whereby senior service providers from around the state deliver simple, introductory, low vision services to the seniors they serve on behalf of the Senior Program at State Services for the Blind. The partners receive training from us and then we provide them with a low vision kit that has items they can provide to the seniors they serve. The qualifications for the job are very easy to meet as this is somewhat of an entry level job. We are looking for someone who has some experience in vision rehab, independent living work, program coordination, senior-related program services or a background in volunteer coordination.
