This position will supervise and direct the Human Resources, Safety and Training functions of MnDOT District 6 (approximately 415 employees) to successfully deploy and integrate human resources functions within District units so the mission, goals and strategic needs of the District and the Department are realized.  Major functions under this position's leadership include labor relations, classification, examination, compensation, contract interpretation, workforce planning, recruitment and selection, personnel transactions, employee benefits, safety, training, employee engagement & retention, organizational development, workers' compensation, and related services.  This position also provides expert consultation and guidance to the District 6 Management Team regarding a wide range of human resource issues. Therefore, it would require a candidate with strong human relations and customer service skills.

Note: This position will have the option to telework part time.  The employee will be required to complete a telework agreement.
