Join our collaborative HR Staffing/Transactions team at the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC)!  We offer free parking, flexible start/end times, and an opportunity to telework in this position.

This position is responsible for performing advanced para-professional/technical work in the HR Staffing/Transactions Unit by:

- Processing complex and routine employee and position transactions in the Statewide Employee Management System (SEMA4).

- Providing technical support to professional-level HR Staffing employees in completing requests to fill vacancies and classify DOC positions, including conducting criminal history checks on top finalists for DOC positions, composing appointment letters/memos, and working with finalists to schedule pre-placement medical exams and evaluations.

- Providing HR information to DOC and other state agency staff, applicants and the general public.

- Performing para-professional/technical HR project work as assigned.

This position works in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.  The incumbent is expected to function as a team member; independently prioritize work that is deadline-driven and time-sensitive; identify and respond to customer needs; take and follow direction; be accurate and consistent in interpreting and applying procedures; maintain confidentiality of information; and work constructively and harmoniously with staff, applicants and the general public.
