Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Department is looking for a highly motivated and team-oriented individual who has a desire to make a difference in lives of young people in Brooklyn Park. This position works with the Youth Outreach and Intervention Coordinator the Brooklyn Park Youth Outreach team, Cities United, YMCA Intervention staff and the Zanewood program staff to:

*         Support internal and external partners to provide promotion, prevention, and intervention services to ensure youth thrive in meeting their basic needs, health, social connections, and identity and aspirations and are set up for success

*         Connect intensive support and resources with vulnerable youth to prevent reaching a crisis stage, and guide youth who are in a crisis to necessary treatment and care management

*         Reimagine public safety by interrupting the cycle of community violence

*         Dismantle systems of inequity

*         Engage youth and families


The Youth Services Division assesses youth and recreation program needs in the community and implements programs that meet the needs of youth in the community.


The Program Assistant III - Youth and Family Intervention specialist will implement programs for youth, teens and families in the Youth services division at Zanewood Recreation Center and offsite programming. This position will assist with providing work direction to recreation program employees and will also assist with developing positive partnerships with community organizations to increase opportunities for youth/families to participate in positive youth  development  activities.

This position will work independently under the general supervision of the Outreach and Intervention Coordinator and is a member of a results-oriented staff that works together to develop innovative service delivery methods and program focused on quality, partnerships and service to our community.

The award-winning Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks Department is looking for highly motivated, team-oriented and enthusiastic individuals who have a desire to provide customer service and assistance with front desk operations; program/activity/user support; clerical support; custodial, building maintenance and security support.

A Front Desk Receptionist is a member of the Recreation and Parks staff team that works together to develop innovative service delivery methods and programs focused on quality partnerships, service to our community and achieving successful results for youth, teens and families.  This position will work under the general supervision of the Recreation Program & Facility Coordinator. This individual must be able to work in an extremely fast paced work environment, with a desire to work in a highly diverse recreation center.
