This position will serve in a small agency as a part of a two-person Human Resources team, administering professional level personnel administrative functions. This includes recruitment, selection, classification and compensation. The incumbent will complete HR transaction processing and new employee orientation and provide benefits and retirement benefits assistance and leave management assistance to PERA staff.

This position may be eligible for a schedule that includes some teleworking.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development or a closely related field; or

One year of professional level  work experience in Human Resources; or

Two years of technical level work experience in Human Resources.

Education and work experience must also demonstrate:

  *   Knowledge of and experience with SEMA4 and/or Recruiting Solutions, or other HRIS/Recruitment software
  *   Knowledge of recruitment and selection process, including developing recruitment strategies and managing the search process
  *   Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadline objectives
  *   Strong analysis and technical writing skills sufficient to analyze job responsibilities for appropriate classification
  *   Proficiency in recognizing, handling, and maintaining sensitive and confidential information
  *   Strong written and verbal communication skills sufficient to effectively and concisely communicate
  *   Interpersonal and human relation skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work cooperatively with managers and supervisors, peers, the public and other governmental organizations and to work as a productive member of a team
