This position contributes to the advancement of MDVA's mission, vision and objectives by performing supervision and leadership of HR staffing and transaction team to include recruitment, selection, classification, personnel transactions, benefits coordination, FMLA, and contract interpretation.
Key Responsibilities include:
*         Manage the labor relations activities. Activities include union contract/pay plan interpretation, directing employee investigation, discipline and grievance processes, participating in local labor/management meetings, etc.
*         Advise manager and supervisors on employee performance, attendance, and behavioral issues, bargaining unit contract and plan provisions, and employment law
*         Design and implement internal and external recruiting and selection processes to attract, select, and retain a talented and diverse workforce;.
*         Lead and oversee all HR transactions, onboarding, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws, state statutes, administrative procedures and rules, collective bargaining agreements, and delegation of authority.
