 As the ADA Compliance Coordinator, you will provide oversight, leadership, and senior level direction of agency-wide compliance related to the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). This position serves as the agency's ADA compliance officer and leads compliance efforts related to Title II (state/local government services) of Americans with Disabilities Act (the ADA, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1974, the Minnesota Department of Human Rights Act, other related state and federal laws, and rules and regulations supporting the rights of individuals with disabilities. This position conducts reviews, negotiates approval or denial of requests for matters related to Title II of the ADA Title II and works in close partnership with the Director of the Office for Equity, Access, and Inclusion, ADA Coordinators at the facilities, and the corresponding Deputy Commissioner/Assistant Commissioner to ensure ADA compliance and an inclusive agency climate. Other responsibilities for the position include offering technical and content expertise on policy and projects related to ADA compliance.
