The Public Utilities Commission is looking for an HR Business Partner to support many HR functions for the agency. You will serve as a subject matter expert to managers, supervisors and employees in a wide range of human resource management areas and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, enterprise-wide policies and state and federal laws.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  *   Providing professional human resources generalist functions to managers, supervisors, and employees of the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC).
  *   Serve as a labor relations resource for all aspects of contract/plan interpretation.
  *   Serve as Leave Management Coordinator for Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and all other contract-approved leave requests (e.g., medical leave of absence, Paid Parental Leave, military leave, etc.) which includes providing education, training, and support to supervisors and managers regarding reasonable accommodations, essential functions, Connect 700 Program, FMLA, Leaves of Absence, and other relevant content.
  *   Process all SEMA4 transactions relating to employee and position changes
  *   Staffing duties to include creation of job postings, screening resumes, interview support, and compensation support for selected candidates
  *   Classification duties to include performing predominately all the classification and job audit functions for the (PUC) which will include multiple bargaining units, and different appointment types.
  *   Support agency DEI Initiatives as well as act as the agency Learning Management Coordinator for all training and development items throughout the agency
  *   Serve as the AAO and ADA coordinator to include completion of the Affirmative Action Plan and the review and response to all requests for accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
  *   Develop and conduct effective onboarding, offboarding, and HR orientation program for new employees.

This position will have the option of teleworking; however, it will be based on the business needs of the unit and is at supervisory discretion.
