IBVI Job Opportunity - Buyer
JOB SUMMARY: The Buyer is responsible for processing purchase requisitions from interdepartmental personnel and turning those requisitions into purchase orders. The Buyer creates purchase order tracking systems, alerts management when orders have been filled and invoices from vendors have been issued, answers vendor questions and provides them with additional order documentation as needed.




POSITION OBJECTIVES:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


        Conducts all business in accordance with the organizational policies and procedures, but if a subject is not covered by those policies and procedures, then acts in accordance with the best business purchasing standards as currently practiced or as directed by the Procurement Supervisor.

        Checks requisitions for completeness and clarity. Obtains necessary missing information where required. Tactfully instructs requisitioners or specifiers on what data is necessary to obtain good product.
