Minnesota Veterans Home (MVH)-Minneapolis is looking for a full-time Human Resources (HR) Administrative Assistant to assist in our engaging HR department. The position provides administrative and technical support to the Human Resources office and provides quality and timely human resource related assistance, service and advice to managers, supervisors, employees, and the public.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  *   Screen incoming phone calls, independently answer a wide range of general HR related questions.
  *   Coordinate the maintenance of employee performance evaluations, position descriptions, licenses, and certifications.
  *   Maintain personnel files, medical files, training files, and general office files in accordance with the Data Practices Act (M.S. 13) and the statewide records retention schedule.
  *   Provide support in the hiring process at MVH-Minneapolis.
  *   Coordinate benefits functions and meetings held at MVH-Minneapolis.
  *   Coordinate random CDL Drug and Alcohol testing of employees.
  *   Complete projects as assigned.
