**This position is eligible for "telework" meaning that most of the work can be performed at home with occasional visits required to the office, located in downtown St. Paul, MN, and other Twin Cities metro locations.

We are excited to introduce a leading role as the Classification and Compensation Consultant in preparation for the new Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF). This role will work alongside counterparts in the Department of Human Services with the intent to transfer the role to DCYF once it is established.

 The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking an experienced Classification and Compensation Consultant to join our collaborative Human Resources Classification Team. We are a team of analysts and consultants who develop and oversee the Department of Human Services' classification and compensation system and provide related analysis and expert consultation to ensure the provision of market-competitive and internally equitable pay to attract and retain diverse talent.

 Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  *   Provide complex job evaluation, analyses, and consultation for assigned agency programs.
  *   Conduct individual position audits to ensure employees are correctly classified.
  *   Write formal classification determinations.
  *   Conduct internal equity analyses to ensure pay parity among employees.
  *   Design and administer and/or participate in job classification studies, Hay job evaluations, and projects.
  *   Provide strategic planning and guidance to agency managers and supervisors on topics related to job classification.
