The Department of Administration/SmART is seeking qualified applicants for two HR Consultant 1 vacancies.

The HR Consultant provides advanced professional human resource consultation and guidance to managers, supervisors and employees of the Minnesota Department of Human Rights (#95886) or the Office of State Procurement at the Department of Administration (#95890). Responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating a wide range of human resource strategies in such HR functional areas as classification, recruitment and selection, compensation, employee and labor relations, and organizational analysis and workforce development. Applying broad specialized knowledge of human resources and sound judgment, these positions assist managers and supervisors to translate their current and future business needs into human resource decisions and activities. Provide advice and guidance to other lower-level professional HR positions to ensure consistent and quality delivery of staffing-related services across the Department of Administration and SmART agencies, serve in a project leadership role to staffing projects and perform other duties as assigned.

These positions have access to labor relations information as defined in M.S.13.37; participate in meetings where ADM-SmART and state negotiation proposals are discussed and evaluated; and provide data and information to labor negotiations as it relates to workgroup, job allocation and selection issues.

These positions are eligible for a hybrid telework arrangement. With a telework arrangement, onsite attendance will be required for team members or as requested by management to meet business needs. Completion of a telework agreement will be required.
