Great news! The Hawaii State Legislature has now passed Senate Bill 793, Conference Draft 1, which repeals the old law that authorizes the payment of subminimum wages to workers with disabilities. https://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/measure_indiv.aspx?billtype=SB&billnumber=793&year=2021

If we work together, we could have this in Pennsylvania, too. In Hawaii, we built a diverse coalition of activists who offered hundreds of pages of testimony. It’s a beautiful thing.

Stay healthy out there!

Aloha,

Justin
