      Hi everyone!!

It's a beautiful fall day in the neighborhood!

 Our next meeting will be this Saturday on October 8, 2022, and held using a hybrid model, with an in-person and a virtual option. The meeting will begin at 10:15 a.m. Please see below for the directions to the Penn Museum and the Zoom lin for the meeting.

At this meeting we will discuss what is going on the national, state, and local levels of the NFB. We will talk about current legislation that will help the blind, discuss fundraising ideas, talk about upcoming events that you will want to be a part of, and share our experiences with one another.

Here is a peek at some of the things that we will be sharing!

Coming up just around the corner is our upcoming 3rd annual talent show called Believe You Can!, this year it is being presented by Dancing Dots. The show will be held live through Zoom on October 15, 2022 starting at 8:00 p.m. EST. Tickets are now on sale for this year’s show! Please share the link with your family and friends and on your social channels to help spread the word about this event.

Hand-made Ceramic Cups With Braille For Sale

The Keystone Chapter is selling hand-made ceramic cups with tactile braille on them. The sayings on the cups are Live the life you want, Believe you can!, and Blindness is not a barrier. The cups are a grayish blue. They make a nice gift for someone in your life. The cups are $10 each. 2022 State Convention In Pittsburgh
This year's State Convention is in Pittsburgh from November 10 through November 13. Register online at http://nfbp.org/convention/reg. To make your hotel reservations at the Sheraton Station Square, call (412) 261-2000. Our new meeting location is the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, otherwise known as the Penn Museum. The museum is located at 3260 South Street in Philadelphia. It is accessible by SEPTA. The Penn Medicine Station is directly across the street from the museum and the following regional rail lines stop there, Airport Line, Manayunk/Norristown Line, Media/Elwyn Line, Warminster Line, West Trenton Line, and Wilmington/Newark Line. The following bus routes stop within a few blocks of the museum, 30, 40, 42, and 49. The following trolley lines stop near the museum, 11, 13, 34, and 36. The Market-Frankford line is also an option.
