Hey there, Keystone Chapter Members and Friends,

It was a beautiful day for our May meeting at the Penn Museum on Saturday! We enjoyed donuts from Dunkin. 2024 Membership Dues

Have you paid your 2024 Keystone Chapter dues? Membership dues are $10. The chapter gets $5, and the NFB of PA receives $5 for your membership. There are a few ways you can pay. You can give me cash or a check when you see me. 2024 State Convention Bus Reservation

The NFB of PA will charter a bus to get us to Erie for the State Convention. It will leave Philadelphia on November 6 and return on November 10. We are taking reservations for the bus. To reserve your seat, we are collecting a non-refundable deposit. You can pay $26 via PayPal at https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/DML359UN6LF3N <https://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/DML359UN6LF3N>. Dinner for a Week Raffle is Back

After a successful inaugural event, The Dinner for a Week Raffle is back again this year!. We are looking for gift cards for national restaurant chains. Minimum amount of the gift cards are $25. You can hit up your favorite restaurant for a donation of a gift card. Contact Harriet (goHarriet00 at hotmail.com <mailto:goHarriet00 at hotmail.com>) to get a copy of a letter you can take with you when soliciting restaurants for donations. Raffle tickets will be printed in time to take them to National Convention.

Ghana Book Donation Project

The chapter continues to support a Ghana school for the Deaf and Blind by collecting appropriate aged books in both Braille and print. This initiative is spearheaded by Kosi Asabere, who will deliver the books to Ghana later this fall. Members are encouraged to bring their book donations to the upcoming June meeting or make arrangements for collection with Harriet.

Keystone and Greater Philly Chapter Brunch

Lisa and Sherry Gaskins, the Greater Philly 2nd VP, announced plans for a joint brunch with the Greater Philadelphia Chapter on June 22, 2024. The brunch aims to foster stronger bonds between the chapters and encourage community engagement. Members from both chapters will collaborate to organize the event, including menu planning and activities designed to enhance social interactions among attendees.
