[Massachusetts-NFB] VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! At-large Blind Equality Acheement Month Event

Hi All
As most of you are aware, we have a free table at the Topsfield Fair on
Friday, October 11. This is our chapter's big Blind Equality Achievement
Month event. We only have 3 people so far willing to help at the
table, myself, Paul, and Shara. I realize some people work since this is a
Friday but this was our number one choice when we discussed the dates at
our last meeting.

The Topsfield Fair is a well attended event. It provides a great
opportunity to share the NFB with many people. I know there is concern
about having to pay $15 to sit at the table. I get that. However, once the
fair opens, the tickets are $20. We are getting a discount. Also, If we get
enough volunteers, we will be able to do shorter shifts and have time to
enjoy the fair, either before or after your shift. We really need
volunteers. Nobody wants to sit at the table all day either. We need to
have a schedule out by Wednesday, 10/9 so that people have time to schedule
their rides.

As well as providing information, we will be having our meat stick
fundraiser as well as selling and taking pre-orders for the affiliate
t-shirts. The goal of the fundraiser is to raise money for Washington
Seminar and scholarships.

Please, please, please volunteer to help with this fantastic opportunity,

Additionally, the fair is within the RIDE area. I took it myself this
morning  to pick up our vendor packet. There is one drop-off and pickup
location that is not far from our table. If a volunteer has a way for
someone to drive them and wants to stay for the fair, we have one free
parking pass.

Thank you for all you do as part of the NFB of MA! All efforts are greatly
appreciated.
