[Massachusetts-NFB] Civic engagement opportunity with the City of Boston

Good Evening NFB Family,

The DPC is working on a very exciting project this spring.  They are currently developing and launching a civic engagement course with the City of Boston Disabilities Commission. It’s called the Accessible Boston Leadership & Empowerment (ABLE) Lab and while course creation is ongoing, applications are now open.

This information is being shared with the blind community. We are looking for Boston residents with connections to the disability community who are interested in becoming more involved with local government. 

The course will take place primarily in person at Boston City Hall from 5:30 – 7 with six sessions from May 12th through June 23rd. Participants who attend a majority of sessions will receive a $250 stipend.  People interested in joining the first ABLE Lab cohort can fill out the online application before 9pm on April 19th.
