Hello everyone,

Bedbugs are no laughing matter! Aside from what Yasmin mentions, the best
thing you can do is to wash your clothing as soon as you get home from a
trip. Sealing your clothing in a garbage or other plastic bag is also
helpful. That way, even if you do not wash everything right away, any bugs
that could be on your clothing cannot get out and enter your bedroom.
Finally, keeping your suitecase out of your bedroom and in the area you do
laundry-or somewhere else in your house-might be helpful until it is empty.
Then, if you are concerned, you can even put your suitecase in a garbage bag
until you use it again.

Most people react to bedbug bites. They are small and itchy. But, there is a
percentage of people who show no symptoms, or start itching a day or two
after they are bitten.

I hope none of us have to worry about bedbugs in the convention hotel, but
their presence in even the nicest hotels is definitely on the rise, so it
pays to be cautious.

Melissa

Hi Everyone,

You may be wondering why I am sending you this information. Often times we
get calls or emails that a person stayed in a hotel here in Montgomery
county and found bedbugs in the room.

Well, we have found them here in our workplace. We also know that the
libraries have this problem as well.

For those who will be going to the convention next month, here are some
tricks.

Do not put any clothing in the chest of drawers. If you are able to see some
use the hair dryer to know if there are bedbugs. Also you can use the spray
mentioned below.

This advice from our nurse in public health.

There is also a spray called Ethco Raider to use on your skin to repel bb,
it is sold locally at box stores like home depot and lowes that I have found
to be effective. I take it with me when I travel.

I hope this information is helpful. Do not want to scare you, but is is a
matter of our health.
