The NATIONAL HARBOR CHAPTER NFBMD WELCOMES YOU TO PARTICIPATE IN A

 ‘FREE” DIABETES WORKSHOP 

LED BY TRAINED & EXPERIENCED LEADERS

 FUNDED BY THE MARYLAND DEPARTMENT OF DISABILITIES

The Active Living with Diabetes evidence-based Workshop is held for six (6) weeks, one-hour each week.  The Workshop is community-based to help adults manage their Type 2 diabetes or pre-diabetes.  The topics include:

 

Defining Diabetes                                Carbohydrate Counting

Dealing with Stress                              Addressing Low and High Blood Sugar

Appropriate Exercise                           Healthy Eating/Menu Planning
