Good evening all,
Please see this opertunity for students aged 16 to 22. All the information regarding this program is below my signiture.

Thank you.

The National Federation of the Blind advances the lives of its members and all blind people in the United States. We know that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. Our collective power, determination, and diversity achieve the aspirations of all blind people.
Sincerely,
Jeffery Crouch

Subject: [NABS-L] Student Opportunity: EMPOWER VI Student Advisory Board

Hi everyone!

EMPOWERing Youth with Visual Impairment (EMPOWER VI)<http://empowervi.org> <http://empowervi.org> is currently recruiting new members for our national Student Advisory Board! Board members meet virtually once a month to connect with students from across the country, share their perspectives, and give feedback that directly shapes resources and programming for other blind and low vision students. Members also receive a small stipend for participating in meetings. The board is open to students ages 16–22 who are enrolled in high school or a transition program.

I have attached a flyer with more information and a link to our interest form<https://redcap.link/35j2h4te>. You can also hear directly from a former board member about his experiences on the board here: EMPOWER VI Student Advisory Board Testimonial<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpAQXKCdjbQ>.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and if you know a student who might be interested, we would appreciate you passing the opportunity along!

Best,
