Minnesota Federationists:

Here is information from State Services for the Blind regarding notice of
public hearings about proposed policy and fee schedule changes. The hearing
notice is pasted below and is attached along with the two draft documents
being considered. This will be of interest to students in post-secondary
education as well as others receiving maintenance in vocational
rehabilitation services. The hearings will take place January 19, 20, 25,
and Feb. 1 at locations around the state-read below for more details.

December 31st, 2015

Dear Sir or Madam,

State Services for the Blind (SSB) is making changes to our policies for
post-secondary schooling and maintenance. These changes may affect the
vocational rehabilitation services you receive. You are invited to discuss
these changes with us at a meeting date scheduled below. 

The proposed policies are included with this letter. You can also get an
electronic version on SSB's website at

You can give SSB your comments and suggestions several ways:

1.  Attend one of the four scheduled public meetings in person or via phone.

.       Rochester Workforce Center on January 19th 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m.

o     2070 College View Rd E, Rochester

.       St. Cloud Workforce Center on January 20th, 2016, from 1:00 p.m. to
3:00 p.m.

o     1542 Northway Drive, St. Cloud

.       Duluth Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss on January 25th, 2016, from
5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

o     4505 W Superior St, Duluth

.       SSB Main Office in St. Paul on February 1st, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m.

o     2200 University Ave W, Suite 240, St. Paul

.       The call-in number for each meeting is 1-888-742-5096 and the
conference call ID is 5032664284.
