[Mn-at-large] FW: Peer and Role Model Connections at SSB Career Fields Classes

Hello!

We are excited to tell you about a new opportunity at State Services for the Blind. This school year we will be offering workshops that correspond to Minnesota Career Fields. The purpose of the workshops is to promote career exploration and mentoring opportunities.  High school and college students will learn from adults with a vision loss who are already working in the fields. They will be able to connect with peers, role models, and potential employers in order to learn about techniques and strategies for successful employment.

Classes will be planned around the following Minnesota Career Fields:


Tuesday, September 26: Arts, Communications, and Information Systems

Tuesday, October 17: Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources

Tuesday, November 28: Business, Management, and Administration

Tuesday, January 23: Human Services

Tuesday, February 27: Health Science Technology

Tuesday, March 27: Engineering, Manufacturing, and Technology



Students are welcome to join any and all the workshops that apply to their interests. Workshops will be hosted at State Services for the Blind, 2200 University Avenue West, #240 in St. Paul from 6-8 p.m.
