Thanks, LInda, I'm glad to hear you backing up what I was considering. And sorry, just to clarify the "assistant" designation, Gregory's been known as the assistant director because that's what he was before I joined the church, but now that I've sort of established myself and the primary director will be leaving soon, there might be a title switch. Not that we're really into titles, but I guess he and I are technically co-assistants at this point. i just checked with him today, and we decided that this weekend, I'd do the pitching and lead the melodic line while he conducts. In future, though, he'd rather take more of a backseat, so I suggested that when we're doing it on a more permanent basis, we could meet with the choir and let them know how we'll be divvying up the work and what my conducting will look like if I do it. The directing job will definitely have to be a team effort because there's so much complicated music throughout the year that I don't think I'd be able to keep on top of it all myself. It's too expensive to put into Braille and would take forever for someone to record, so it will help to have someone else who is at least decent at music-reading.
Anyway, I'm glad to have you as a resource in case I have more questions.

Thanks again,
Jessie
