[musictlk] Looking at Scores

Hi Julie,

Well, obviously, you won't be able to look at the scores while you're
conducting. You will have to memorize all the cuts and cues, and cue
by pointing your left hand in the general direction of the section or
sections needing to come in. If you're expected to rehearse parts,
you'll have to look at the score with your left hand and do the beat
pattern with your right, since I'm sure it will be brain overload to
memorize all the notes in all the parts for all the pieces you'll do
in class, if, in fact, you do take the class. You'll probably have to
take the class; therefore you'll have a choir to conduct--all the
other students. And, you'll be expected to participate in the singing
when the others are conducting.

I have all my hand-copied music, so please contact me off list if I
can help. Maybe you won't use the same music we did, but maybe you'll
use some of it. Mine is all hard copy, of course.

Blessings,

Linda
