    You should make sure that what you're doing is original and that you've gone thru the process of sending your music or songs to be copywriting.  If not, then you are fair game if the songs are known in the business as cover tunes.  If you're going to submit songs that someone else has done, then you'll need  permission to do these songs otherwise the person or people who originally recorded the songs can sue you for stealing their work.  Legally cover yourself.  This is what I say to you .
