hello 
 the difference betwene you and i is that i tune mostly all the time down to drop c. 
 that's a vary key tuning for me as my voice fits drop c vary well. 
 i like to sing and play at the same time. 
 and sticking with a tuning that my voice likes is key for me. 
 this is why i have 12's on my acoustic and i'll be putting 11's ernieball on my telecaster soon.
