Hi Kelsey,
Bending your knees slightly does work well when you are learning. You need only bend slightly and only in rehearsal, not in performance. The technique is more psychological than anything, because it prevents you from stretching too high. It's something you should try to wean yorself off of doing with time. The best technique for singing in a high tesitura (singin high notes) is to create an image in your mind of bringing the high note down to your level instead of thinking that you need to stretch to reach it. Another good physical exercise to do while practicing is to raise both hands to about shoulder height, or maybe a bit higher and, when going for that high note, bring your hands down, as if you're pulling the note down towards you. Hope this helps.

Should it be more of a subtle thing where you just bend your knees a little or should it be that you are almost squatting down? Or somewhere in between? I tried it at rehearsal once and it really works. So thank you to whoever suggested it. I'm just not sure how much I should be bending them. I look forward to hearing your opinions.
