[nabentre] mlm is really a great thing

I am one who has always shied away from MLM after watching my mom blow a lot
of time, effort and money on several of them when we were growing up. (My
dad died when we were young and she worked a lot of jobs to support us, so
it was a big deal when she joined a new mlm.)
However, for some companies it is actually profitable to sign up as a
distributor and pay the requisite dues just to get good prices on the
products, assuming you use them. Mom for example has been a longtime
distributor of Amway products, and uses their laundry soaps and other
products that have proven to be quite a lot better than similar commercial
products. Other Amway skin care products are also good for gifts. But she
never bothers to do the sales.
Online I think Amway is known by a different name -- it escapes me at the
moment -- something like Trixar
But in general I think MLM's are for people that know what they want and
have a good understanding how the MLM works so they don't end up at the
short end of the stick.
Good luck whatever your business is.

James,
Let me say I am truly sorry for misinterpreting what you ment. And to be
fair, I should have taken my arguments with Brian off this list and in to
exchanges between the two of us. I let the past relationship get in the way
of what for the rest of us could have been a great discussion. And you are
correct in saying that the very easy come back was not necissary.
MLM is not for everyone. And even if it is, dealing with cutting edge
nutritional products, and environmentally friendly products might not be
your cup of tea. You may have an entirely different area of interests. And
that's great. And there is also nothing wrong with looking at starting your
own business, and then deciding that it is not for you.
Whatever it is you are looking for, I hope you find it. And may what ever
it is that brings you happiness richly reward you.
