[nabs-l] Dating and relationships

Right. Dating and a relationship involve two things. Dating involves
going out, but I've given up on the conventional date and gone instead
to look elsewhere for a date/relationship. I think a relationship
should involve love and emotional support which is why I've decided to
take up the age-old question of whether to date a blind man. As a
blind woman, I think a sighted man might think I can't do anything.
But a blind man might be strong and steady and stand up for me
whenever I do something right. We might not be able to drive each
other everywhere, but we will be able to take walks in a garden or
perhaps both raise our kids in the future with a better understanding
of the world. The kids would be taught how to arrange rides to their
destinations like their blind parents and so forth. The kids would
NEVER EVER be allowed to go out on their own before a certain age and
I'd have all my expectations marked down because I have a resourceful
partner. But that's a whole other subject. It all has to begin with
someone who should be more than just a partner in life, but more like
someone who understands what I'm going through every day.
Sincerely,
Beth
P.S. The guy I choose should never ever make me give up my friends.
