The answer to both of those questions is no.
You should learn how to cut your food. There are a number of strategies to use. You can go to a training center to learn those skills.
With rides, you might want to take control of the situation and ask for the rides if you want them, but other than that, if you can, you should use cane travel.
I am not trying to be rude about it, but trying to let you and others in your position know that you can do things such as this on your own.
