Also, Jorge, I think this is a matter best taken to someone higher up in the
NFB, and not left in the hands of the students alone. After all, the most
compelling argument thus far that cannot be disputed is that it goes against
the NFB's policy, so NABS can't do it. So... take it to the big guys! An
absentee voting system would benefit other divisions as well if one were put
in place, especially when you start considering the number of people who
must be absent because they can't get time off of work, have children and
family obligations they can't put on the back burner, etc. So I recommend
looking into what ever the process is for presenting this amendment to the
NFB at large, and not simply to one division.
