Arielle,
You are right, and this helps people get over with messages with subjects
that they are not really interested in talking about. But on the other hand
when there are interesting discussions on the list and someone would like to
chime in, they can join.
By the way, if you are using microsoft outlook 2003 or later, there is a
JAWS command that will allow you to reply directly to the sender of the
email message. It is: Insert+shift+R, should you like to know about this
command JAWS and outlook users.
Hope this helps.

Hello NABS listers,
While the conversations that have developed on the NABS list over the
past few days-about the NABS constitution, laptop options, etc.-are
useful to many of us, I'd just like to issue a friendly reminder to
try to control the number of separate email messages you send to the
list each day. For people who use email clients like Outlook, and who
don't subscribe to the list in digest mode, it can be overwhelming to
wade through a large number of email messages. Just as an example, I
see there have been 60 messages posted in response to Kerri's laptop
question alone. If you have something to say, feel free to speak up,
but please try to combine all your thoughts into a single message if
you can, or to spread out your responses over time. You can also reply
to a single person privately by looking up their email address, which
should be in the "from" field of their message. Steps like these will
help us all to appreciate what the list has to offer without the
frustration of having our email inboxes saturated. Thank you for your
courtesy and cooperation.
