[nabs-l] French books?

I got my French book in Word documents. The AT specialist scanned the text, then went through and set the French portions to read with the JAWS French voice. Anyone can do this, but I don't remember how it is done. It is also very time consuming. But it allowed me to read and spell the text in French, and helped me with pronunciation. I don't know how it would be done in Braille, or if that would even be helpful, unless you happen to know French Braille, which is different from American Braille. I would suggest doing it the way I did, with the French portions of the text read with the French voice. Once you have a general grasp of the language, then you can work on learning French Braille, when all the accents will make sense. This is just my opinion, though, so you don't have to listen to me. *grins*
