Hi,
I really like  Jameyadne's suggestions. I wanted to add one more possibility.
Could you ask your teacher for an alternate assignment that you could do independently and that maybe involves over glazing? That way you could be doing the work yourself. For an assignment in a class I had that required taking a photo that somehow represented what it means to be a good leader, I wrote about one.
