[NABS-L] taking an online math course in college

Hi Ana,

I agree with everyone that creating a strong relationship with the professor
as soon as possible and maintaining that throughout the semester is key.
Doing that might, for example, make it easier for you to work out an
arrangement to, at the very least, read the math problems online and write
your answers on braille paper or in electronic braille. If you are using a
braille notetaker or display that does not support Nemeth, as I did during
undergrad, you could work out an understanding with them where you type out
most of the math symbols you cannot type in or sub in another symbol. This
should work out pretty well in an algebra course. I wish you the best of
luck with this!

Connor

Subject: [NABS-L] taking an online math course in college

hi all, I would like some advice. so next semester I'll be taking an algebra
course. although the class is face to face, the professor does everything
online. we have an online math book and all the tests and assignments are
online. I can't really see how accessible the course will be because I won't
have access to the online course until next semester. personally, I learn
better when I have things in braille, specially math. I don't think braille
is going to be an option next semester, specially because of the course
format. I'm just looking for some suggestions, or what has worked for some
of you in the past, as far as taking an online math course and doing algebra
in the computer.
thanks!
