Hello,

I’m a 2021 graduate of that program and a CVRT now working in Kalamazoo.

E-Learning is technically accessible, but highly confusing and difficult to use. WMU is in the process of hiring an accessibility assistant to help students with learning, but the curve is steep especially if you are just new. AIRA is supposed to be n access location but not sure how that will work with online-only students.

If you have specific questions, I can try to answer, but you should reach out to Gwen Bostik in the IT department for assistance and getting you connected with the new student (Jonathon) that they are hiring, who i worked with over the summer. Unfortunately he’s not a native JAWS user, he is low vision, but I was working with him to familiarize him with JAWS and e-Learning earlier this summer, with the plan for him to be working with students starting now.
