Right but why are either of these concerns the center's problems?
Stephanie should have known the rules when she signed up.
A better question though is where can dog users who want/need additional
skill-set training get it?
Anybody know?
If there truly is a choice in centers/options where can such a list of
providers be found?

Okay, my question, though, is what were the lessons about? Was it
something that could be slightly modified to use the dog, or was it
something that had to be done with a cane? And just to clarify, yes, I
do support the learn new areas with a cane idea.
Also, something that this center is not taking into consideration is the
dog's training. Most schools remind the dog recipients that a long
period of not working with the dog can result in the dog forgetting how
to work. When I went home over Winter break, I did not work Lexia as
much as at college, so she was a bit rusty when we got back.

Meghan I would have to totally agree with you. I went to the Colorado
Center for the Blind in 2000 and there were students there that had dogs
and
they could use them for most everything with the exception of the
mobility
lesson.
