[nagdu] Guide dogs at NFB Training Centers

Hi Carlos,
Where did your guide dog get to hang out with the 3 other dogs while you
were in class at the NFB Center? You didn't have to leave it at home off
campus? Tell us more about what it was like to have the dog at the Center.
I think many people think that the dog is totally alone in an off campus
apartment all day long, every day for the 6 or 9 months you're at the
Center. That would be bad for the dog and its training.

Anyone else have the experience of having a guide dog and are enrolled at an
NFB Center? Personally, I think if I were to attend a Center, I'd do it
between dogs so I would only have to concentrate on my training there and
not have to worry about my dog. I would really like to see a real discussion
on this issue without the high emotions running amok (grin). I can see the
good points on both sides of the issue. I would really like to see a good,
honest, mature, non-emotional discussion on this issue and really look at
ways to bring us together to create a really good solution that will benefit
all. Thanks.

Regards,

Linda and Landon
