Hi All,

Yes, I do think they figure it out.  My first dog Megan, when she was young,
would play this keep away game with me when she knew she had done something
bad and I was after her. LOL!  At the place we were living at the time, we
had this round dining room table, and she would let me get almost within
reach of her, then dart away either under or somewhere on the other side of
the table.  I knew she was taking advantage of the fact that I couldn't see
her, because she would stand perfectly still and quiet until I almost could
touch her, and then she'd move.  I can laugh at it now, but at the time it
aggravated me to no end!!  What made me the most mad was that a dog could
figure out how to take advantage of me like that.  She was one smart dog,
and a fantastic guide too.

Sundance will sometimes move when she sees me coming, but usually she'll
just lie there too and get stepped on or tripped over.  She hardly even
whimpers about it either.  I think she does know though that I can't see
her.
