There are several types and styles of hands-free leash gear on the
market. As with anything else you might buy for your dog, other than food,
KV Vet Supply in David City, Nebraska, is one of the best places to buy your

dog stuff.

They have a hands-free leash called a Buddy Leash. It is an adjustable
nylon belt that goes around your body, where-ever it is comfortable, and has
a nylon loop that slides over the belt. The leash fastens to that loop
by a quick-release backpack-style fastener at one end, and attaches
to the dog's collar at the other end by a sturdy standard-type leash
fastener. The leash is adjustable and can actually be used like
a short leash held in the hand. It comes in a choice of different
colors. I think I remember that it is available in different
sizes for different sizes of people and dogs.

The price back in 2004 was around $17.95 for the set including one leash;
and extra leashes with belt fasteners were about $7 or $8 each.
The price may be a tad higher now, but shipping is still the cheapest
in the dog-supply market.

As usual, they have the best prices of all the
mail-order suppliers on such things, and they can definitely beat your local
PetsMart or PetCo type places, even after you include shipping and handling
charges.
