Marrion,
Apparently, you haven't thought of the benefits of the school keeping an eye
on things, although for the most part, they stay out of the way and only
intervene and or help out if needed.

    If you were to have a child, would you agree to allow the government to 
monitor your parental skills for the first year "to make sure nothing major 
develops"? What does this say about your capacity as a blind person?
