[nagdu] First cane walk!

Hi Gail.
That's right; the cane end has a flange, and the rubber tip gets pushed
over that to hold it in place.  It can be quite hard to do.
I suspect the half-inch size you're seeing refers to the fat part of the
tip, not the little hole that fits over the flange.
You could call the NFB Independence Market (I think that's the new name),
and ask them.
There's also what they call a marshmallow or rolling tip that's not
supposed to get stuck in cracks or whatever.  I've never used one though,
so can't say if it works as advertised.
