wOW...i WOULDN'T IMAGINE A COONHOUND BEING A GUIDE DOG EVER! tHEY ARE
OFTEN TOO ENERGETIC AND WELL....CRAZY COMES TO MIND. tHEY ARE ALSO
VERY "SNIFFY" (ENJOYING SNIFFING EVERYTHING), SO i'D HAVE TO AGREE
THAT YOURS WAS A GOOD EXCEPTION TO HER BREED.

mY CONCERN WITH A GREYHOUND BEING A GUIDE DOG IS THAT THEY NEED A
*LOT* OF EXERCISE, MAINLY THROUGH RUNNING. aLSO, GREYHOUNDS CAN BE
DELICATE. sOME, BUT NOT ALL, CAN ALSO BE A BIT ALOOF AND UNRESPONSIVE
TO TRAINING AND CORRECTION. i DON'T KNOW WHAT bELLE'S DIFFICULTY WAS,
BUT THOSE ARE THE DIFFICULTIES WITH GREYHOUNDS THAT i CAN THINK OF. aS
LONG AS THE PUP GOT LOTS OF EXERCISE, i COULD SEE THEM DOING OTHER
NON-PHYSICAL SERVICE WORK...DEFINITELY NOT PULLING A WHEELCHAIR OR
CARRYING A HEAVY PACK, BUT MAYBE OPENING CABINETS AND DOORS,
RETRIEVING ITEMS, AND THINGS LIKE THAT.

hMMM...i'M ENJOYING THESE MUSINGS. nOW, CAN ANYONE THINK OF A WAY FOR
A CAT TO BE A GUIDE? bENGAL BOYS DO GET AS BIG AS 20 POUNDS...WHAT DO
YOU THINK? bENGALS ARE VERY TRAINABLE, ARE WELL-KNOWN FOR THEIR
ENJOYMENT OF WALKING ON A LEASH AND PLAYING IN WATER, AND OFTEN LOVE
PLAYING FETCH AND DOING TRICKS MUCH LIKE DOGS DO. i HAD A bENGAL GAL,
BUT SHE WAS ONLY 8 POUNDS AT HER BIGGEST...SHE COULD STILL DRAG ME
WHEN SHE REALLY WANTED TO GET AT A KID OR PUP, THOUGH! wHO WANTS TO
SUPPORT ME IN GETTING A GUIDE CAT? *GRIN*
