hi well here is my 2 cents worth: this winter we had 108.6 inches of snow just like last winter etc, can't do much with a cane in that stuff I know in mid Jan. I lost my goldy anna to cancer still had to go to work using a cane and trecker. last time I did couldn't find streets side walks from grass did manage to get within 10 ft of our parking lot before got help from a guy it was only 12 above 0 and had been out one hr trying to get home normally take about 5 or 6 min. I wonder how many blind people in alaska use canes? just my thoughts hal

I would still want to be just as effective with a cane as with a dog. I would hate to have a sick dog and have to use my cane at work and have coworkers say something like, "well he sure can't do much without his dog." Is being a terrible cane user a crime? Probably not :(, However why limit yourself just because you wouldn't want to use a white stick. :were
