That is interesting. Can you share which agency is no longer using poodles? There are already so few. Personally, I quite like poodles so was happy that circumstances worked out that I was able to. I really enjoy havig a dog that doesn't shed, allergetically or not. :)
To be honest, if there was not a non shedding , supposedly non-allergitic solution for a guide dog I probably wouldn't have got one at this time. I think, like Julie, if I had to get a different breed I would love a dobi but all these thoughts are hoefully many years away. I'm waiting to see how Tami's goal of convincing Mitsi to work forever works so I know exactly how to approach the issue with Bogart.
Thank you for the information though. I had heard some mention of working on lab breeding that was hopeful to minimize allergies when I was doing my school and breed research.
