[nagdu] Muslim cab drivers: not a slam on their beliefs

Alan,

As someone from a Baptist family, I know exactly what you mean! I also know
the cold-hearted side there, including disowning a family member for
dancing. There are some worse tales I could tell.

DD, my roommate,, is also from a Baptist family. He was disowned by his
Baptist family. Not for dancing.

My conclusion? It's not the religion that is at fault. It is the people
who use it as an excuse to be just plain rotten.

Not that I have an opinion or anything. /smile/

Tami Smith-Kinney

See? This kind of thing is why some people think the muslim religion is a
cold, hard and even cruel one. Disowning someone over a *GUIDE DOG?* I could

see not allowing the dog in the houses of family members, etc, but disowning

that person? That would be like a Baptist family disowning a family member
for dancing, if you'll pardon the analogy. I had a different analogy in mind

but didn't use it lest I offend anyone.
